Description

The is an elegant Document Box ca. 1850. The box is made of Rosewood and Burl marquetry with mother of pearl. There is incredible detail along the edge of the lid. The inside is lined with an understated floral paper, which is in remarkable shape for its age. There is a keyhole and a lock, but no key for the box. This would make a wonderful gift, and would be a great way to store documents, recipes handed down through generation, photographs and more.
