Victorian Footstool, ca. 1870. The bottom is made of mahogany with a simple floral design carved into the sides which gives it almost a folk art feel with a fluted trim on the ends. Not only are the sides carved, but the the elegant arched shape with the cabriole legs and pad feet impart a classic Victorian design. A skilled woodworker repaired one of the legs sometime in the past. Eventually all the legs were reinforced with metal straps on the insides of the feet. Additionally, this piece has been reupholstered, as well as restored and measures 16″ x 9″ x 8″. Looking for decor to go with this Victorian Footstool? Check out these Victorian Lithographs
