Description

The best way to store your most expensive hard liquor is a Tantalus Decanter. This art deco-era set has a silver rack with a barrel lock and three crystal decanters, with tags reading “bourbon”, “scotch” and “gin”. Sadly the key did not come with this set, but the lock could be replaced or rekeyed.  Tantalus Decanters were (and still are) a status symbol, as it allowed expensive hard liquors to be displayed, but only the owner with the key could open them. The stoppers can’t be removed when the top handle is up and locked. Tantalizing, but inaccessible.
