Antique Camera #3 Autographic Kodak Model H camera from 1916, with a plunger for shutter operation. Camera folds into the case for transporting and storage, making it an early version of a portable ‘hand held’ camera. A small foot under the door keeps the lens level and acts a sort of tripod. The Antique Camera #3 Autographic Kodak Model H would have been used with large format black and white film, and was part of an early initiative by the Kodak company to make photography accessible to the average person.
